FAQ's
From sizing and shipping to custom reworks and care — it’s all laid out below. Straight answers. No waffle.
1. How long does delivery take?
We ship worldwide.
Delivery usually takes 7–15 working days, depending on your country and local customs processing.
You’ll receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Some regions may experience slight variations, but we always aim to deliver as quickly and securely as possible.
6. Do you accept custom rework requests?
Yes.
If you have a garment you’d like transformed — or a concept you’d like us to build — you can contact us for a custom rework consultation.
Custom timelines and pricing vary depending on the complexity of the work.
2. Are your pieces made from vintage clothing?
Yes — most of our garments begin with authentic 80's & 90's vintage pieces.
We carefully source quality vintage garments and transform them into new silhouettes through rework and upcycling.
We also work with selected Y2K-era pieces and certain new base garments when required for specific designs or structural builds.
Every piece is intentional — nothing random, nothing mass-produced.
3. What’s the difference between “Upcycled” and “Reworked”?
Upcycled
Upcycling means transforming an existing garment into something with new life and value — often changing its structure, design, or function.
Reworked
Reworking focuses more on redesigning or enhancing the original garment — through reconstruction, detailing, embroidery, paneling, or structural adjustments.
In simple terms:
Upcycling gives a garment a new identity.
Reworking refines and evolves its current one.
4. What kind of rework techniques do you use?
Scrap Mafia specialises in detailed craftsmanship, including:
Sashiko-inspired stitching
Reconstructed panel creations
Multi-panel patchwork builds
Structural garment reconstruction
Hand embroidery & thread art
Bead & braid detailing
Screen printing
Custom distressing
Dusty floral embroidery
Monochromatic thread detailing
Textural overlays & layered builds and many more.
Each piece is individually worked on — which means no two garments are ever exactly the same.
